Day 1: Port Blair – City Tour
On arrival at Port Blair airport, our representative will receive and escorted to the hotel. After check-in at the hotel and a little relax, we proceed to Carbyn’s Cove Beach & Cellular Jail. Evening enjoy the enthralling Light and Sound Show at Cellular Jail where the saga of the freedom struggle is brought alive. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
• Corbyn's Cove Beach
The coconut-palm fringed beach, 3 kilometers away town is ideal for swimming and sun-basking. Facilities like hotel, restaurant, bar, changing room, adventure water-sports are available here. Historical remains like Japanese Bunkers can be seen on the way to this beach. The Snake Island situated just across the beach is popular for scuba diving. The Restaurant & Beer Bar run by the Tourism department provides delightful cuisine at reasonable rates in a soothing ambiance on the beach.
• Light & Sound Show
The Sound and Light show in the Cellular Jail narrates the saga of the Indian freedom struggle, brought alive through sound and light effect of the brutal and barbaric atrocities piled on the freedom fighters deported to these islands and incarcerated in the small cells of this jail. This show is very popular among the tourists visiting these islands.
• Cellular Jail
The Cellular jail, declared a National Memorial, is located at Port Blair which had stood as a mute witness to the most brutal and barbaric atrocities meted out to national freedom fighters, who were incarcerated in this jail. The jail, completed in the year 1906 acquired the name ‘Cellular' because it was entirely made up of individual cells for solitary confinement. It originally was a seven-block structure with three stories and a central tower acting as its fulcrum consisting of honeycomb-like corridors. This jail, now a place of pilgrimage for all freedom-loving people draws everyone down memory lane to the years of freedom struggle. The Jail Museum is open from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and from 1:30 pm to 4:45 pm.
Day 2: Port Blair to Excursion to Coral island & Ross Island :
After Breakfast you will be escorted to Andaman Water Sports Complex to catch a ferry which will be your mate for the entire excursion to Ross Island and North Bay. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
• North Bay
It is also called “The GateWay to Port Blair”. This place is famous for its coral reefs, exotic verities’ of beautiful ornamental fishes and water sports activities. The breathtaking stretch of coral bed leaves you spellbound. North Bay is the foremost snorkeling point of Andaman. Apart from snorkeling and glass-bottom boat ride, scuba diving, underwater sea walk facility is also available at North Bay.
• Ross Island
It was the Capital of Port Blair during British and Japanese regime, prior to India’s Independence. It was named after Sir Daniel Ross, a marine surveyor. It was nicknamed “The Paris of the East”. It is now under the supervision of the Indian Navy. This island is an ideal destination for nature walks amidst sylvan surroundings with deer’s, peacocks and exotic birds.
Day 3: Port Blair - Swaraj Dweep Island (Havelock) - Radhanagar Beach
Transfer to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock Island) by Cruise. On arrival, our representative will receive from Havelock jetty and escort you to check-in to the selected hotel. After a little relax, proceed to the world’s most renowned beaches; Radhanagar Beach. The Island also has the biggest concentration of breath-taking diving and snorkeling sites, thus acting as a paradise to marine world explorers. Overnight stay at Havelock.
• Radhanagar Beach
Radhanagar Beach is one of the most famous attractions in Havelock Island and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands itself. Commonly known as Beach No. 7, Radhanagar has been given the title of the best beach in Asia and the 7th best beach in the world by Time Magazine in 2004.
Needless to say, it is one of the most spectacular beaches you will visit on your trip to Andaman. Hugged with Coconut trees from all sides and covered with tropical jungle from both the sides, the Radhanagar Beach opens up a world of complete serenity and relaxation for its visitors.
Note: Collect the packed Breakfast from the hotel reception, if you are traveling by early morning Cruise. Ferry timings are mentioned in the tickets provided to you, please report 45 minutes prior to departure with a valid id card. Ferry operation is purely subject to Govt. clearance and weather condition. Class of travel and timings of the ferry is subject to availability at the time of confirmation.
Day 4: Havelock – Leisure (Optional tour: Elephanta Beach)
After breakfast, day free for leisure for personal activities. (Optional Tour: Elephanta Beach @ Rs 1,200/- per head including pick up and drop from the hotel). Overnight stay at Havelock.
• Elephanta Beach
Elephant Beach is one of the key attractions located on Havelock Island. It takes around twenty minutes to get to the beach on a ferry, and the sight of the beach alone is enough to make you fall in love with this place. The beauty of the clean shores, unaffected by man-made pollution. It is very famous for the bright coral reefs that one can find at a depth that is as shallow as just one meter. Some of the most popular attractions around the beach include swimming, fishing, kayaking and an array of other super exciting water sports that are famous in Andaman.
Day 5: (Swaraj Dweep) Havelock – Kalapathar Beach - Port Blair.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel' keep your luggage at the reception and proceed for KalaPathar Beach. After completion of tour, board Green Ocean Cruise / Makruzz / Sea Link and return to Port Blair. Evening free for local marketing. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
• KalaPathar Beach
KalaPathar Beach is a stunning long stretch of white sand enticing travellers with its unique lining of big black rocks beside the serene blue sea. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Havelock island. Located on the tip of Havelock Island, the name of this beach, KalaPathar is derived from the adjoining street called Black Road. It is a small and peaceful beach in Havelock where you can spend leisurely hours at your own pace. Witness the mesmerizing views of sunset and sunrise here at KalaPathar as the place is known for its panoramic sights. KalaPathar beach is nor crowded, making it a perfect excapade for couples vacationing in Andaman.
Day 6: Port Blair - Baratang.
Early morning before daybreak at 3.30 AM, we depart for Baratang Islands. It is approximately 110 kms away from Port Blair. It is connected through a road passing through Jarawas Tribe Reserve also known as ATR Road (Andaman Trunk Road or the State HighWay). We will travel through fabulous and enchanting forest in conveys to reach Nilambur Jetty (Middle Strait) from where we take a ferry for Baratang Island which is a 15 minutes ride. It is famous for Mangrove, Limestone Caves and Mud Volcanoes. Overnight stay at Port Blair.
• Limestone Cave
Limestone Caves in Andaman and Nicobar Islands are located on the Baratang Island. The beautiful Limestone caves in Andaman are a visual treat to a nature lover. Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed at the bottom of the sea. It is formed over millions of years when various deposits of marine life, shells, corals and skeletons undergo a natural compression to form unique shapes within the cave. The caves are lined up with stalactites and stalagmites that hold the secret of a million years of Andaman. Nestled deep within the mangroves and amidst the lush rainforest, the Limestone caves in Andaman are highly recommended to be on your Andaman itinerary.
• Mud Volcano
Andaman is one of the few places in the world where these Volcanoes are found and you may thus want to give it a visit. Eleven mud volcanoes have been reported in the Andaman group of islands, of which eight are located in Baratang and Middle Andaman. The other three you can find in North Andaman. Mud Volcano in Baratang lies about 7 kms away from the Baratang jetty and can be reached by road. When at the entrance, walk another 160 metres up a rocky path.
Day 7 : Port Blair – Airport Dropping
Dropping to the airport with memories and a terrific holiday at Andaman Islands.
